E. van Wijk takes care for the well-being of its employees. Maximum attention is given to a secure and safe work environment. Everyone gets opportunities to grow amongst others by training, external but also at the E. van Wijk Academy. Personal attention is given, if needed, to both private and business issues. We strongly believe that every employee contributes through his/her work to the development of a company and, in turn, the company helps him/her to grow with it.

The field of transport is unpredictable. It requires a high degree of adaptability to situations that arise along the way and requires a high level of decision making in extreme situations. Coping with such a dynamic environment can be quite a challenge. This is why we appreciate our employees, we invest in their continuous development through trainings that help them improve their skills and grow their knowledge.

We learn continuously, at each level of the company

We started an academy in the Netherlands at the end of 2020, a tailormade program created for the group. E. van Wijk Academy is available only in the Netherlands at the moment, but the plan is to expand it to the group level. We regularly organize courses for our drivers on important topics in this profession: eco-driving, preventive driving, ADR, cargo anchoring, traffic safety, cargo safety and many other necessary courses to practice this profession.

We learn continuously, regardless of the level of position in the company hierarchy. We organize courses for warehouse employees regarding the correct and safe management of equipment and goods. Office employees also benefit from courses that are directly related to their activity, to courses on general topics that help the proper functioning of things.

E. van Wijk family is growing day by day, we are happy to have people around us involved in what they do and family members who give them the necessary understanding to work in this dynamic field.

We are the sum of personal and professional experiences we have lived throughout our way here. In a group, each member has a contribution to the way things work. Every person’s behavior and way of thinking is modeled by the experience that he/she has. Sometimes we win, sometimes we learn.

At E. van Wijk we know that great results are the effort and involvement of employees. As a group, we want to evolve continuously. We organize courses that are directly connected with the activity of each role in the company, because each role represents an important piece of the whole puzzle of the group.
