The E. van Wijk Group announces that, as of 1 January 2026, Ryano Logistics and Eljo Exalto Transport will continue together under one new name: E. van Wijk Exalto. This strategic merger is the next step in the expansion and strengthening of the logistics group’s exceptional and special transport division. The new organization will continue to operate fully as an independent business unit within the E. van Wijk Group.

E. van Wijk Group […] has acquired Exalto Transport from Brakel .
Exalto Transport from Brakel is a specialist in exceptional and special transport. This strategic acquisition marks an expansion of the special transport division within the E. van Wijk Group, which was already grown in 2021 by the acquisition of Ryano Logistics.

We proudly announce that our group of forwarding companies in Almelo, Netherlands: Twentepoort Logistiek, Himex Logistics, RUGO Logistics, Twentrex, Cargorilla Logistics and TwenPack, were merged to become one. As of January 1, 2025, they all operate under one name: E. van Wijk Forwarding.
Together, all companies were always working with one strategy uniting all of E. van Wijk Group. The focus is and has always been on making customers successful and delivering all services as promised. As E. van Wijk Forwarding, they offer clients complete logistics services that range from international transport, warehousing, customs, and full supply chain services.

This year, E. van Wijk, a leading international logistics service provider, marks 75 years of courageous entrepreneurship and organic growth. This milestone is celebrated throughout the year with events such as a truck tour through the region and school days to inspire the next generation of employees.
Highlight: the anniversary party that took place on Saturday, September 23 for relations, customers, employees and family, during which the E. van Wijk site was transformed into a lively village with entertainment, culinary delights, an impressive fireworks show and the unveiling of the first electric truck from Company. An important step in making the fleet more sustainable.

E. van Wijk Logistics is taking a substantial step toward further increasing the sustainability of its fleet. The transport company from the North Brabant town of Giessen has purchased ten new electric DAF trucks. They are seven DAF XD Electric 4×2 tractors and three DAF XD Electric 6×2 rigids.

As of March 1, 2022, Milou Meijer will be appointed as Managing Director of E. van Wijk Forwarding. The fast-growing company, which recently moved to its new location at the XL Businesspark Twente in Almelo, strengthens its management team. Meijer will be in charge of about 70 employees at this location.

E. van Wijk Forwarding starts in a new, larger and more modern warehouse at the XL Business Park Twente in Almelo. This warehouse offers more than 7000 m2 of storage space and has eight loading docks. Due to its strategic location between the A35 and the Twente Canal, the location is exceptionally easy to reach for both road transport and inland shipping.

The E. van Wijk Group, with headquarters in Giessen in Brabant, is ready for the future with a newly formulated strategy. “Our companies have grown considerably in recent years and we also made several acquisitions,” says Ewout van Wijk, third generation and CEO of the family business, “which created a need for a clear strategic course for the coming years.”

The E. van Wijk Group […] has acquired Ryano Logistics from Klundert.
The companies have had close cooperation for years. Ewout van Wijk, CEO of the E. van Wijk Group, started his career there in 2010 as a project manager. Two years later, he took over the day-to-day management. This period appears to have been a valuable preparation for the takeover. “The contacts have always remained very good and friendly, even after my departure from Ryano,” says Ewout.

The E. van Wijk Group […] with offices in the Netherlands, Romania, Ukraine and Poland, has acquired RUGO Logistics from Denekamp on 19 February 2021. With the takeover of RUGO Logistics, the E. van Wijk Group is further expanding its logistics services to Central and Eastern Europe.
Departing owner Laurens Golbach indicates that he has been looking for a takeover candidate that can guarantee continuity in terms of staff and customer service.

Heylen Warehouses is realizing the new logistics and industrial campus with 8 smaller units in the logistics hotspot Almelo. […] Waterside Campus will be a multi-client building with units from 2,800m² to 8,000m², of which E. van Wijk Group is now the first customer.
In view of the growth of its activities, E. van Wijk Group is relocating its forwarding division from Wierden to Almelo, to an ultra-modern logistics unit of approx. 4,000 m² with 1,000 m² of office space at XL Business Park Twente in Almelo, from where the European activities for their customers expand it further. About 50 people will be employed at this location.
